Herman Mensch has over 34 years experience in the Custom Stair Industry. He has designed, engineered, manufactured and installed custom staircases throughout the United States and abroad. He specializes in unique one of a kind staircases, working with many of the best and most renowned architects, designers and contractors in the industry. No design has been too tough to tackle, including complicated historical restorations.
Throughout his years in the business he has created relationships with some of the finest craftsman and specialty manufacturers in the country to create these exclusive & distinctive staircases. These relationships have enabled him to build these masterpieces out of a variety and combination of materials including wood, metal, glass, acrylic and stone products, serving the high end residential and commercial stair market.
His foresight and attention to detail is recognized throughout the industry. Only the finest results are acceptable. The most challenging projects are his specialty. Every project is different; therefore a select team is assembled to bring the project to fruition.
Our process:
1. Send, fax or e-mail your plans making sure to include:
All floor plans where the stair is present
All structural framing plans where the stair attaches if it is free floating
All structural details and sections pertaining to stair
All finish details and sections pertaining to stair
Any elevations of the stair
Any other relevant information pertaining to stair
We will contact you with any questions we may have if information sent is unclear or incomplete.
We will quote your project in a timely manner once information is complete and give you an estimate of the time required. Response time depends on the size and complexity of the project.
We will submit a formal proposal covering the scope of the project, timeframe to complete and payment arrangements.
Once proposal is accepted and payment is received, the job will be scheduled thru all phases for completion on required date.
Any changes made after project is scheduled could result in an additional work order depending on what work has been performed.
Progress payments are made as work is completed per payment schedule in proposal. Additional work orders are paid for up front.
Final payment is made upon satisfactory completion of project.
